As a result of its mineral-rich geology and a favorably regulatory climate for mining, Nevada is a very prolific gold producer.

Nevada is ranked number five in the world by the Fraser1 Institute’s composite index measuring the favorability towards mining of government and environmental regulations, infrastructure, political stability and labor.

It is ranked as the sixth largest gold producer in the world (12% of world wide annual production), having produced over 170 million ounces of gold with remaining reserves of more than 70 million ounces.

Nevada mines produces approximately 80% of the annual U.S. gold production. Most of the world’s largest gold producers, including Barrick, Newmont, Kinross and Goldcorp operate in the state.

NuLegacy Gold assembled two highly prospective exploration Prospects in Nevada:

  • The 45 square mile Red Hill Prospect in the well established Cortez Segment, the most prolific portion of the famed Battle Mountain-Eureka gold trend of Nevada. The Prospect is located between Barrick Gold’s Cortez Hills operation immediately to the north and US Gold’s Tonkin Springs operation to the south.
  • The 35 square miles Wood Hills South Prospect in the emerging Pequop gold trend. It is contiguous to the AuEx Ventures properties that Fronteer Gold just acquired 49% of for approximately $250 million.

Through exploration and development of these two prospects NuLegacy Gold aims to discover significant gold resources and add shareholder value by vending them for stock or cash or merging with an appropriate and qualified gold producer to form a strategic partnership for their development.
